FI-WARE Launches $109M Fund to Keep Tech Startups Innovating in Europe

The European Commission’s open API platform FI-WARE announced a $109 million (€80 million) fund for startups using its “toolbox” in a Friday blog post. The post was written by Neelie Kroes, the Commission VP in charge of its Digital Agenda, and offers to distribute the money to 1,300 small business and web entrepreneurs starting in September. Amazon Sues Former AWS Employee Over Move to Google Cloud

Amazon has filed a lawsuit in a Seattle court on Friday, alleging that a former AWS employee’s move to Google is in violation of his non-compete contract.
