Minds + Machines Loses Auctions on Five gTLD Names, Netting $8.4 Million

Minds + Machines Group (or “MMX”), a domain registrar that has bid on many generic Top-Level Domains, has been outbid by competitors in auctions for five gTLD names for which it had applied to run. While it lost the right to be the registry for these domains, this did net the company approximately $8.4 million.
