Facebook to Shutter Mobile App Platform Parse

Facebook is shutting down mobile app platform Parse, according to a surprise announcement made on Parse’s home page. Parse will maintain backend service during the sunset period and provide migration tools before closing completely on Jan. 28, 2017, the announcement says.
