EMC’s $1.2B Virtustream Acquisition Takes It Deeper Into Services
One EMC official recently said it wasn’t “your father’s EMC,”and the company has now made a big acquisition that illustrates the point. The IT giant is acquiring cloud service provider Virtustream for $1.2 billion in a bid to strengthen cloud services offerings. Web Host Acquitted of Charges Related to Hosting Torrent Site
A web host in Sweden has been acquitted on all charges relating to the hosting and takedown of a torrent site. After three and a half years in court, the case against the owners of torrent site “TTi,” otherwise known as “The Internationals,” and web host PatrikWeb has ended with convictions for the website operator but not for the hosting company owner.
