AWS Worth $5 Billion But May No Longer Be Biggest Cloud Earner
Quarterly reports from tech giants IBM and Amazon both show strong gains in cloud revenue, but they may also indicate that cloud profits are shifting away from infrastructure. IBM reported cloud revenue increasing by 75 percent adjusted for currency and divested business, to reach $7.7 billion in Q1 2015. AWS revenue grew by 49 percent from Q1 2014 to an annualized $6 billion. Continue reading
